Who Am I?

All the words that were ever written in this world, were written by You.
All the words that were ever spoken in this world, were spoken by You.
All the actions that were ever performed in this world, were performed by You.
In the beginning when there were no words, no actions and indeed no
worlds, there was You and only You.

There was no day and no night; no good and no bad; no pain and no
pleasure; no loss and no gain; no right and no wrong; no rich and no
poor; no beautiful and no ugly; indeed no hate and no love.
There was You and only You.

Then for some reason only You can explain, You decided to create the world.
As a child fashions various objects out of clay, You fashioned various
objects within the world and truly, the world itself, out of the clay
of Yourself. Then for some reason only You can explain, You decided to pretend that
You were one of the objects that You fashioned.

You started viewing the world through the eyes of this object that You
fashioned. You chose to forget that all the objects were made out of the same
clay - Yourself and chose to immerse Yourself into the role of the
object that You decided to pretend.

You also kept changing the objects that You pretended to be;
Sometimes You pretended to be a man, a woman, a dog, a cat, a tree, a snake, a
cow, a flower...

Viewing the world through the eyes of these various objects allowed
You to experience various things - the good and the bad; the pain and
the pleasure; the hate and the love.

Just in case You forgot who You really were and became too engrossed
in the role You were playing, You created Signposts to remind You of
who You are.

This is one such Signpost.

This Signpost was created by You while playing the role of the author of this poem and just as You planned,
You have uncovered this Signpost at this point in your life drama.
